Linda Schwartz, M.A., C.C.C. is a licensed speech-language pathologist with more than 30 years experience. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (C.C.C.) from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association (ASHA). Ms. Schwartz is listed as a subject matter expert with the Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispenser Board, Department of Consumer Affairs, State of California. Ms. Schwartz maintains a private online practice specializing in supporting children and their parents in the area of developing effective communication. Ms. Schwartz has worked in hospitals, schools, early start and private practice settings. She is currently offering virtual speech and language services throughout Califiornia.
Ms.Schwartz provides an initial 20-30 minute telephone complimentary consultation to parents related to their child’s speech and language. For very young children (18 months-36 months), virtual short term monthly, bi-monthly or weekly sessions are available with parent and child to instruct and share strategies with parents to help them support their child's speech and language development. Individual direct virtual or in-person therapy sessions are also available for children ages 18-36 months with parental participation in Santa Barbara and the same sessions may be delivered virtually throughout California. For older children and adults, speech and language assessments, as well as direct speech and language therapy are available virtually throughout California and in-person in Santa Barbara. Should parents need opinions regarding previous or on-going school-based services, review of records, including previous assessments and Individual Education Plans (IEPs) is available. Sessions may be scheduled once a month, bi-monthly or weekly. Virtual sessions are currently available Monday-Friday with some limited availability on Saturdays and early evenings.In-person sessions are subject to location.
