Linda C. Schwartz, M.A., C.C.C. , is a licensed speech-language pathologist with more than 30 years experience providing speech therapy services. Ms. Schwartz is presently offering virtual consultative services including record review, expert opinion, assessment and treatment in the areas of speech and language to attorneys, insurance companies, provider institutions, parents , and clients/patients.
Speech and language consultations may include a review of speech therapy and related records including therapy notes, assessments, interpretation of data, review of patient care plans, medical records, and individual education plans (IEPs). Consults are available virtually or as a telephone consultation, telephone consult with a written consultative report , or as a stand-alone written consultative report. Expert witness testimony is also available. Virtual speech and language assessments are available as well as virtual direct therapy. A fee schedule is available upon request. Excluding court appearances, fees start at $200 per hour.
Ms. Schwartz is licensed by the state of California as a speech-language pathologist and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (C.C.C.) from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). She is listed as a subject matter expert (SME) with the Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensers Board, Department of Consumer Affairs, State of California. Ms. Schwartz has extensive experience in both medical-based speech therapy and school-based speech therapy as well as early intervention services . Ms. Schwartz maintains a virtual private practice throughout California.
Ms. Schwartz completed her medical-based speech therapy training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she also worked as a staff speech-language pathologist . She completed her school-based speech therapy training in the Beverly Hills Unified School District and worked in the Los Angeles Unified School District as a speech pathologist for 22 years. Ms. Schwartz has worked in acute hospital settings, in-patient and out-patient rehabilitation, private practice and schools (pre-school through high school) as well as early start intervention. She has additional training and experience in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and dysphagia (swallowing) assessment and treatment, including interpretation of videofluoroscopic swallowing studies.
